We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) including regulations. For data subjects in the EU/EEA, the provisions of the GDPR additionally apply. Legal basis (GDPR): Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), contract/pre-contractual measures (lit. b), legal obligations (lit. c), legitimate interests (lit. f), in particular operation/optimization of the website, security, and reach measurement.3. 5. Hosting & Infrastructure
Our website is hosted by cyon GmbH, Basel, Switzerland. Personal data may be processed on servers in Switzerland. cyon processes data as a processor in accordance with a contract under FADP.6. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies (local storage, pixels) to provide the website (technically necessary) and—with consent—for reach measurement and embedded third-party content.- Necessary: for basic functions, session handling, security.
- Statistics/Analysis: Google Analytics (only with consent).
- External content: YouTube player (may set its own cookies).
7. Matomo
We use local Matomo to analyze and improve website usage.- Scope: page views, interactions, device/browser information, approximate location (country/region), referrer.
- IP anonymization: enabled. The IP is shortened before storage.
- Legal basis: Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)); legitimate interest under FADP (operation/optimization) where permissible.
- Opt-out: Revocable via cookie banner. Additionally, Google offers a browser add-on to disable Analytics.
Opt-out complete; your visits to this website will not be recorded by the Web Analytics tool. Note that if you clear your cookies, delete the opt-out cookie, or if you change computers or Web browsers, you will need to perform the opt-out procedure again.

8. Application Form
When using the application form, the data you enter and uploaded documents are processed for the purpose of reviewing your application.- Data: personal details, contact information, motivation, CV, certificates, references, metadata (timestamp, technical logs).
- Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual measures/employment contract initiation (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) or legitimate interest; under FADP: processing for personnel selection.
- Recipients: internally responsible departments. External HR service providers only with processing agreement.
- Retention period: typically 6 months after completion of the process; with your consent, longer retention for talent pool (12 months).
- Mandatory information: Fields marked as required are necessary to process your application.
- Security: transmission via TLS/HTTPS; internal access restriction on a need-to-know basis.
9. YouTube Embeds
We embed videos from YouTube (Google). When playing, personal data (IP address, usage data, device information) may be transmitted to Google and cookies may be set.- Mode: Where possible, we use enhanced privacy mode, which only transmits data when playing.
- Legal basis: Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) via cookie banner; under FADP, legitimate interest in appealing presentation.
- Note: Google may transfer data to the USA (see Transfers).
10. Processors & Recipients
We engage carefully selected service providers who process personal data on our behalf and according to our instructions (processors). These include in particular:- cyon GmbH (hosting, Switzerland)

- HR/application service providers if applicable (only if engaged; with processing agreement)
11. Transfers to Third Countries
For certain services (particularly Google/YouTube), transfers to countries without adequate data protection levels (e.g., USA) may occur. Where necessary, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses) and implement additional measures (e.g., IP anonymization, minimization) where possible. Risks of government access in the recipient country cannot be completely excluded.12. Retention Period
We process and store personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes or as legally required. Data is then deleted or anonymized. Specific examples:- Server log files: typically 7–30 days (security/error analysis).
- Analytics data: configuration-dependent, 14–26 months.
- Applications: typically 6 months after completion; talent pool with consent longer (12 months).
- Contract/accounting data: according to legal retention obligations.
13. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures (TOMs) to protect personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, and unlawful processing. These include access restrictions, encryption (TLS), backups, logging, need-to-know principle, and employee awareness training.14. Your Rights
